{"id":1170,"date":"2015-12-24T11:04:42","date_gmt":"2015-12-24T10:04:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.officina29architetti.it\/en\/a-sassari-il-design-italiano-1950-1970\/"},"modified":"2017-02-18T16:00:35","modified_gmt":"2017-02-18T15:00:35","slug":"italian-design-exhibition-1950-1970","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.officina29architetti.it\/en\/italian-design-exhibition-1950-1970\/","title":{"rendered":"Italian Design Exhibition 1950-1970"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>On December 18th, 2015, an exhibition on Italian Design, edited by Enrico Ercolani and the architectural firm Officina29 Architetti, was held in Sassari, in a nineteenth century palazzetto in Via Roma, \u201c<em>Journey into the world of Italian design, through some examples of home furnishing<\/em>s\u201d.<\/h3>\n<p>The exhibition deals with the theme of the birth of Italian design through twenty-three original pieces from a private collection, about the home furnishings: products belonging to the two decades between 1950 and 1970, of particular interest for the firm Officina29 Architetti, always involved in design and interior design.<\/p>\n<p>The birth of the domestic design in Italy is the result of a slow process, due to the difficulties of application of the modern language in the furniture\u2019s element, still too bound to deep traditional and aesthetic values. Quite the contrary happens in technology, particularly in the mechanical industry, in which examples such as &#8220;vespa scooter&#8221; in 1946 and &#8220;lambretta&#8221; in 1947 have been well appreciated by the public, becoming icons of an era.<\/p>\n<p>In 1950, the furniture was still bound to &#8220;traditional&#8221; crafts, far from any real contact with contemporary culture.
